Location
Koh Samui is midway between Bangkok and Phuket, inside the Gulf of Thailand. The island is just 21k wide and 25k long and has frequent air services from Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

We are located on the North East coast between Samrong Bay and Thongson Bay, approximately a 15min drive from the airport.

The Beach on West of Island

Beaches
It is approximately a 7 minute walk to the closest beach of Samrong bay. This is a very quiet bay, where you can sunbathe, swim, snorkel or take a massage from one of the beach masseurs. Generally, you will be 1 of only a handful of people on this beach.

The other closest beach is Tongson Bay, which is about a 3 minute drive or a 20min walk down a steep cliff. This is again a very quite and peaceful bay.

Choeng Mon is considered to be one of the best beaches on the island and is approximately 5mins drive away. This is a more popular beach area with watersports and several restaurants available.

Other beaches are too numerous to mention, but a personal favourite of ours is Lipa Noi on the west coast, approximately 45mins away. It has miles of beautiful sandy beach, very quite and peaceful, with just a few small resorts and restaurants. Makes a great day out and has fabulous sunsets as well.

Restaurants and bars
There is a small local Thai restaurant 2mins walk from our villa, but the best choice is available at Choeng Mon, where you can eat by candlelight on the beach or Bang Rak village, both about 5 mins drive away.

Slightly further afield, Bophut Fisherman’s village is probably one of the nicest villages to spend an evening and is approximately 15mins drive away. For the best nightlife and shopping, then Chaweng is the place and is also about 15mins drive away.

Boat trips
Numerous boat trips are available to the surrounding islands of Koh Som, Koh Phangan, Angthong Marine Park and Koh Tao, which has the best diving in the area.

Other attractions
2 golf courses, the championship Santiburi course (where the Asian PGA tournaments are held) 25mins away or the Bophut Hills 9-hole par 3, also about 25mins away.

The Big Buddah

Big Buddha – the enormous golden statue is about 5 minutes away.

Temple in South of island

Wat plai laem – 3 mins drive away. Now the largest temple on the island.

Samui Snake Farm - The snake farm is one of the most popular tourist attractions.

Cable riding tour - In the hills of Samui you can experience cable riding tours sliding down into the jungle overlooking the many jungle trails.

Magic Garden & Waterfall - The Magic Buddha garden was the inspiration of one man who built several statues, temples and waterfalls hidden in a location high up in the hills of Samui.
